Who We Are:

We recruit, train, and manage volunteers to help provide healthcare resources to schools and community groups serving children in Durham.

We were founded in the fall of 2020 to provide assistance with COVID-19 specific needs like temperature taking and arrival symptom screening. In 2021 and beyond, our volunteers work with other local non-profits to bring vision screening and free glasses, free sports physicals, and other high-quality preventive health care services to children and adolescents in Durham County

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

  • Medical and non-medical volunteers who perform vision screenings for community groups and schools. We work in Partnership with Project SIGHT, who follows up with eye exams and no-cost glasses.

  • Provide mobile free sports physicals

  • Provide medical and non-medical volunteers to other local groups offering vaccinations and other services to Durham children.

All volunteers must complete a DPS background check.

Please start this first step today if you wish to help and have not registered within the last year.
